Hey, Friends!
It’s me, Onicia—writer, comedian, podcasting legend! I was listening to a recent episode of Scam Goddess and I noticed that host, Laci Mosley, had a new segment where she and guests discuss whether something was “a scam, a scheme, or something real.”
The segment reminded me of a little known podcast that I co-hosted with Devin Whitlock called Scams, Swindles, and Schemes (a.k.a #Scamsss). The podcast ran for 2 seasons and was distributed via Elizabeth Banks’ Whohaha Podcast Network. (Pause for applause)
I’m not saying that Laci stole our idea or that she owes us anything. I’m just saying that we followed each other back when I was on Twitter so I’d like to think she was a fan of our show. Don’t go bugging her on our behalf. I’m happy the concept found a new home.
Listening to the segment was bittersweet. It reminded me of how good #Scamsss was. Seriously, Devin and I talk about the podcast all the time. One day, when the employment planets align, we hope to pick it back up. Until then, this was a lovely sign from the universe reminding us that we had something good and in some way we are podcasting legends.

Writing Update
Still in the notes and research phase of my new project Hey, Ms. Trudy. For this project I’m doing deep dives on plastic surgery, hypergamy, sugar daddies and babies, and the manosphere.
I’m excited to get writing but first I have to decide if I’m writing another romcom. Like, should the lessons be couched in a love story like Rest in Piss, Devin Damuels? I don’t want the lesson to be that plastic surgery is the answer to finding love and happiness.
The Internet says that my writing portfolio samples should be similar, meaning I have to decide whether I’m a TV or a features writer and a comedy or a drama writer. Does this also mean that I can only write romcoms? hmm. hmmm. hmmm.
