I’m happy to announce that Okema Moore (Moore Than Enough Media) will be directing the table reading of Rest in Piss, Devin Damuels. If you’re in Chicago and would like to attend the in-person reading (it’s free!), please complete the RSVP form by March 31, 2025.
Devin’s comic signing was a hit. He even got some cold sales. It’s good to celebrate creative milestones with people we love. Will post photos in my next email. If you’re into comic books, sign up to Devin’s newsletter on Substack. You don’t need an account to receive updates.
Also, many thanks for letting me know when links are broken. Technology, le sigh.

I deleted those comments because I can, plain and simple. The person asked their question. I made a good-faith attempt to answer it. They weren’t satisfied. I had the ick–and the power–so I scrubbed the exchange from the Internet. Maybe one day I will un-hide them. Or maybe I will continue to move on with my life.

Many people at my high school thought I was a mean, stuck up, rich bitch. In reality, I was an introverted nerd with bad posture.
The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson
My amazing friend, Rachael Kay Albers, inadvertently started a theater company. Here’s the story according to RKA <3
Last month, we started rehearsals for THE REVOLUTIONISTS, a brutally relevant comedic quartet about four fierce women who lived boldly during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror.
Two weeks into rehearsals, the local community theater told us to censor it.
We said HELL NO.
They said, “Produce it yourselves.”
20 minutes later, we decided to take on the challenge and are now producing a show in T-minus 4 WEEKS!
Introducing Rogue Acts Theater (@RogueActs). A community arts initiative co-founded with Christine Retzer (@christineretzerphotography), dedicated to sharing bold stories that go beyond the stage towards a better world.

Our first show, THE REVOLUTIONISTS, by Lauren Gunderson goes up March 14-16 (!!!)
And we designed it to pair with Stage The Change, a free creative writing and theater workshop for the community, where we weave what we create together into the final production of the show.
I don’t know what the next four years look like, but for the next four weeks, this is my answer to what’s happening in the world.
Because the arts matter. Our stories matter.
And we need as many spaces as we can get to explore what it means to shape history as it’s being made, in our own lives, communities, and the world around us.
What does it mean to be the protagonist of your own life? What does it mean to find the possibilities in an “impossible” time like this?
“The theater itself is not revolutionary: it is a rehearsal for the revolution.” – Augusto Boal
