Philipsburg Jubilee Library played a big part in fostering my love for reading and learning. Without it, I don’t know if I would be a successful writer today. The library was destroyed in 2017 after Hurricane Irma. Seeing the state of the temporary library back in July 2023, I knew that more needed to be done.
Every year I spend +/-$5,000 on artistic projects. In 2024, I’m investing $1,000 of my money to inspire at least 1,000 people to read at least 1 book by a Dutch Caribbean Author and hopefully raise at least $5,000 to rebuild Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
Sign up to my newsletter to learn how you can join the Dutch Caribbean Reading Challenge. It’s a great opportunity to discover books by Dutch Caribbean authors, win fun prizes, and, most importantly, help rebuild Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
