Hey Friends,
After 3 years of clicking and clacking, Nonprofitable is finally viewable on Devin’s YouTube Channel.
The in-person premiere at La Catrina restaurant in Chicago was super dope. So glad we decided to do our big one IRL versus letting The Algorithm TM determine how we should feel about something we worked so hard on.
Special thanks to Ada Cheng (RenegadeAdaCheng.com) for capturing the moment. Click below to view photos.

- Shout out my fave art teacher Debbie Walker Art. I highly recommend taking her beginners watercolor course. It’s online and and includes videos and worksheets!
- Queen of hyphenated names (all love LOL), Kerry-Ann Reid-Brown has been feeding my soul all summer with her intimate, virtual hangouts for the Caribbean diaspora. Kerry-Ann’s interview with J.O. on crafting a multi-faceted entertainment career from humble beginnings really spoke to me as a small fish from a small pond.
- Looking of family-friendly animation projects by Caribbean creatives? Follow Kafi Kareem (@StoryPlayTV). I pre-ordered her animated feature The Caddy Club. The fam and I enjoy doing the monthly activity books.
- The Skewer is back, baby! This November 4, Tom Harrison hosts Logan Square’s best political satire show at Café Mustache. I’m looking forward to hearing from Devon Price, Joe Anderson, Sara McHenry, and Tom McHenry. Kevin Johnson’s doing his news quiz! There will also be an intense debate between erica dreisbach and Josh Watkins.
- Finally, closing out this newsletter with good vibes music by Maya Tokunaga. So proud to be a backer of this project. Maya is also a very skilled and empathic fertility and reproduction resource. Hit ‘like’ and drop a heart emoji in the comments.
